Nursery Care
Nursery Care: Nursery care for children ages 0-5 provides a safe and engaging place for young children to play and explore during Sunday Sermons. Care is provided by trained nursery care workers so that parents/guardians can fully engage the sermon. Nursery care is provided every Sunday Sept 10th through June 16th.
Elementary Religious Exploration (Sunday School)
Elementary RE: Elementary RE for children grades 1-6 takes place 3-4 Sundays a month starting mid-September. Children start the service in the Old Stone Church (OSC) and move to Dodd Hall prior to the sermon. While in Dodd Hall, the children participate in lighting a chalice, sharing joys and concerns, and lessons with a focus on our Seven UU Principles. Additionally, the children will enjoy free play, music, and arts and crafts. One Sunday a month, children grades 1-6 stay in the OSC church for a multi-generational service.
Our Whole Lives (OWL)
Our Whole Lives (OWL): OWL is being offered for children entering grades 7-9 this year. OWL is an age appropriate, interactive curriculum that engages participants and helps them to make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior at every stage of life. The program is taught over 15 sessions that each last 2 hours. All the sessions are held in-person at Hunterdon UU on Sunday afternoons beginning at 1:00 p.m. with an optional lunch at noon. We are expecting a class size of 12-15 youth with 4 participants joining from UCC New Brunswick. The program begins with a parent orientation on October 1st. OWL sessions will be held on 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 12/3, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21, 2/4, 2/25, 3/10, 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/5, and 5/19.
