We offer child care by trained care givers to ensure that families are able to easily participate in our services and programs:
- During our Multigenerational services, we offer child care in our Dodd Hall nursery to children through age 7. To prepare our youngest congregants for worshiping in our sanctuary as they grow, we introduce basic UU rituals and practices. Each Sunday, the children participate in lighting a chalice, sharing joys and concerns, and reading story books with a focus on our Seven Principles. Additionally, the children will enjoy free play, music, and arts & crafts guided by the care givers.
- During our “Super Sundays,” we offer child care in our Dodd Hall nursery to children through age 4. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to join at the start of service in Dodd Hall as we explore monthly themes through stories, activities, music, and social justice projects.
- Once a month we will be sponsoring a “Community Connections” adventure for ALL AGES! This will be a chance for folks from all generations to encounter our mission of “Nurturing Spiritual Journeys & Expanding Social Justice.” We will engage with opportunities for spiritual growth, social justice, and community building both on and offsite. Any children or youth attending must be accompanied by an adult. Any children or youth NOT attending are welcome to stay in child care for games and activities (no age restrictions), or to participate in worship with their families.
- Periodically, we have congregational meetings and events, such as our Fall Auction. We provide child care at these times for children through age 12.
Child care will be open 15 minutes before the start of any service/event for child drop off, and will be open for 15 minutes after the end of the service/event for child pick up. All children must be signed out by a parent or guardian.
