Date(s) - 12/05/2021
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

On Sunday, Dec. 5 at 12:30 PM, the Social Justice Committee will hold its first Potluck with a Purpose of the church year. The event will be virtual. The speaker will be Marie Knapp, who is the inspiration and organizer behind the weekly Black Lives Matter demonstrations on Saturdays in Milford. The demonstrations began in the summer of 2020 with about 10 individuals, holding signs calling for racial justice, peace and love. Any given Saturday, in all kinds of weather, the demonstrators have continued to share their message. (The group took a hiatus following the recent local floods.) Five people from this fellowship, including Phil L. and Kathleen C., pictured above, have participated or continue to participate. Over time, word of the demonstrations spread to area churches.

Please join the Social Justice Committee and Marie Knapp on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 12:30 PM to hear a truly uplifting and inspiring story.

The Potluck with a Purpose series began several years ago as an actual Potluck, but became virtual because of the pandemic. Participating in the online version requires no meal preparation. All you have to do is follow the link and join in at 12:30 PM.
