Based in the Lambertville, NJ, Pyrenesia (peer-uh-nee-juh) plays original compositions based on the Django Reinhardt tradition of gypsy jazz, Eastern European and klezmer melodies—and anything else that swings! Their foot-stomping, dress-swirling, hand-clapping music lifts spirits and transports audiences to a musical landscape as vast and high as the mountain range that inspired the quartet’s name. The quartet members are Alan Rigoletto (guitar/vox), Daniella Fischetti (fiddle), Daniel Manchester (upright bass), and Tony Kovatch (accordion).

Music critic Lisa Rich says Pyrenesia has “an old-timey sound that is just funky enough to make it relevant in today’s hipster music scene.”

Partial proceeds from Old Stone CoffeeHouse concerts benefit FUUFHC social justice partner Family Promise, which helps homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence
